I SAW A RACCOON

I am still in Canada, here is an update about being in Canada. This post is about 40% food talk. at least. )

That all being said, however, I should really put some clothes on.

• Snow can be fluffy! Oh my gosh, it is possible to be hit by snow and it not feel like a cricket ball, how exciting!! It is not snowing at the moment, and there is very little snow settled outside. Alas :(

• Under exceptional circumstances (i.e. Cooking With Brooke), Beef Taco Thing can actually be delicious! Even if it contains mince meat, spinach, spicy taco seasoning and mushrooms! Although I did still dodge the mushrooms, but still, it was so delicious and I did not expect it, ahhhh. I want you back Beef Taco Thinggg.

• FREE SMOOTHIES IS A LIE

• SpotPass is not difficult to use, and I am going to miss it terribly when I return to my small little town. Who will SpotPass me there?! (spoilers: Tibby, the answer is you)

• Being in a city doesn't mean you're surrounded by buildings. Don't laugh at me okay >:( I am in Toronto, but outside I can see lots of grass, some trees, and roads. There are buildings, but in terms of my direct view they are quite a distance away, and I am a bumpkin and ergo surprised by this. (I can also see a crane~ ♥)

• I am very very very lucky ♥~

• It is not cold in buildings! DUH, but still! I was so prepared to shiver constantly, and so far I think I'm doing okay! I have been teased a little for crossing arms over in cold while people around me are wearing t-shirts, haha, but largely it has been successful so far and I am glad. True test will be tomorrow, where I will spend more daylight hours outside than indoors. WHAT DO

• People on the bus did not wear underwear yesterday :o

• It will sometimes surprise you to see which brand names are and aren't present in a foreign country. For examples, I always got 'fairly small fairly independent business' vibes from Burts Bees, but here they are! Also, Frosties are just called Frosted Flakes here and I do not know why that distinction exists! FASCINATING. Also, HSBC - they really are the world's local bank.

• I like Thai curry, ahhh. Or the one I had anyway, which had no fancier name than Chicken & Pineapple curry on the menu, alas. It was very delicious, though, and had coconut as well. Yum~ ♥

And other things that are not for repeating here o-k.

Tomorrow I am going into the city, ahhh, I am going to be a little puny countryside foreigner in a big city, what will become of meeee. FOR NOW, THOUGH, I AM RETURNING TO THE WATER TEMPLE. All these challenges I face, ahhh.

So if you click your little calender thing, wherever that is on your screen (bottom corner?), you'll see that it is theoretically on the 8th today! Under the eight is fifteen, and under that is twenty-two. See that 22nd? I'll be in Canada then. Eeee! ♥

So this is a planning post! Things I need to obtain or organise or settle before I leave. Very little of this is urgent in the sense of my holiday depending on it (in fact, don't think any of it is), but it's all stuff I'd like organised or done. We shall see what happens, though. I am notoriously horrible at doing anything ever. How does anyone stand me, sob........

Planning, oh my god. )

That's more than enough of that, though, I think. That didn't exactly go off topic but it sure did become distracted, huh. DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR TRAVEL ENTERTAINMENT? Or things I should be considered in advance of a holiday abroad? I am already plenty set for suitcase & personal hygiene, hahaha. Ahhh, so soon...

OH YEAH, LAST THING

Do Laundry & Tidy Room
• Because these are not thing I want to return to. Sigh :(
