NO I CAN NOT, if I say too much publically then I become 1000% less likely to actually ever commit to writing it! ... But I will say that I have a 'Loss Of Sight' square on my Bad Things Happen Bingo and I'm not afraid to use it.
As for best boys and girls.... see, this is where I've caught myself out a little. I talk a big game about playing with favourites (which I do! and so should we all!), but I've also been picking away at DFFOO for a good few years now and when you've been at it long enough you just start building up all kinds of random characters because it seems fun in the moment, or because they'll match a party aesthetic, or because they might be helpful someday, or-- and oops, did you just say they'll be helpful? Too late, sucker, you're officially playing with "the best" instead of your favs, into the gutter with you.
I play with a lot of characters these days! Most of them I... y'know, I like 'em. I like 'em fine. But maybe it's been too long since I was running parties solely built only from absolute favs. Like, you're fine, Sephiroth, but do I actually care for you much? I have nothing against you, Terra, but do you capture my heart the way Celes does?
The day I started using Kefka was the day I knew I had fallen to a dark side. Perfectly good character but dang I've never liked him, and yet here I am. Relying on his debuffs. What Have I Become. I'M HAVING A CRISIS NOW, RIONA. YOU MADE ME HAVE A CRISIS.
BEST BOYS AND GIRLS. Speaking from my early experiences playing the game, I'm always going to have a special DFFOO soft spot for Setzer and Garnet. They did a lot for me in the early days of my account, and I still love to use them even though they're both considered out-of-date at the moment. Another character (who I will talk about more in the next DFFOO update) is, surprisingly, the Onion Knight! I really like his personality in this game, and he was the very first character I ever got an EX weapon for. So now I always try to keep him built up and ready to rock. He's earned his spot many times over.
Having just opened my game up to have a look, my current team appears to be... Porom, Seifer and Sephiroth. That's honestly a pretty disgraceful showing on my part, in terms of playing with favs. I am disgusted with myself.
