iggy with the big blue eyes
I have now played Episode: Ignis! And I am much too tired to write an entry about it now, oop. But I will return to do so, I promise. What I will say, quickly, is that it was really good fun to play and I kind of wanted to just keep liberating the city forever? But also, you know, shit what needs doing. gotta go help m'noct.
I've still been working my steady way through Bravely Default as well. I don't know if I've just mellowed a little bit as a person since my last playthrough or if my tolerance for Nice Plain Shounen Boys has increased or what, but Tiz is sweeter than I remember. Still not the most exciting character in the world by any means, but hey. You're not so bad, kid. (Agnes is still queen, no one is surprised.)
Just obtained the Salvemaker asterisk! The boss fight was a weird one because I forgot to bring any Freelancer abilities which meant I couldn't scan Qada, and then he put a regen on himself. I knew I could survive—I had that side of things perfectly under control—but I couldn't tell if I was actually out-damaging his heals or not! Like, I could definitely out-damage him over the course of a single round, but when you took into account pausing the assault to heal/revive characters and whatnot it was really difficult to tell if I was making progress or not, hahaha. Managed to burst him down in the end, though, which was great considering I went in semi-blind. Feel like there's a really horrible monster boss coming up soon, though... gulp.
It was the Imola GP today! I don't think I've ever talked about it here before, but over the five or so years that I shared a roof with Housemate Boy I've ended up becoming quite a big fan of Formula 1. I mean, I hate that it's happened. I don't want to be a racing car fan. I do not want to care about motorsports. I do not particularly want to care about ANY sports. But alas, here we are.
And it was a pretty spicy race today! It was certainly good fun to watch, although my best boy was having a bit of a shocker even before he and George Russell crashed out together. Every season I say to myself this is the one where Valtteri turns it around, and every season it never quite comes together. It's okay, I love him anyway :(
In an effort to encourage myself to keep practicing embroidery, I've decided to stitch all the race results this year! I already did the season opener in Bahrain, and I've done the track outline for Imola. Now I just have to actually embroider the race results themselves, which I'll hopefully do tomorrow. Let's just say I'm relieved that the ever-charming Lando Norris took third, because stitching HAM and VER is going to get real tiring this year. Of that I have no doubt. (If Verstappen ends up winning the championship I am going to be stuck with this fucking cursed tableau, this neatly stitched slice of quaint amateur innocence commemorating the victory of a driver I do not like. I am a good person, do not make me suffer this way.)
