a song to remember, a song for us all
If anyone tells you that I actually finished Bravely Default II over a week ago and I'm just in denial and refusing to post my final thoughts here as though that can somehow make my gaming experience continue indefinitely? They are a filthy liar and darn it why is my game finished I just want to keep playing ;_;
To that end, I'm charging my 3DS for the first time in ages! I never actually finished Bravely Second, so now it's time to make some choices. Do I go all the way back to Bravely Default and replay both games, or do I just go straight back to Bravely Second. And on that note, should I consider restarting, or try and pick up where I left off?
I really couldn't connect with Bravely Second my first time around. I hope a second attempt finds me feeling differently! But that being said... you know, I probably should go back to the original Default first. If absolutely nothing else, I'll always be happy to see my beloved Agnes again.
rionaleonhart mentioned recently that it looks like fanfiction.net might be winding toward the end of days. It's so strange to think that era of internet fandom might be disappearing! That website has so many problems, but it's still feels like it was such an integral part of the early 2000's fandom experience. I think I'm going to have to make back-up copies of my old writing, just to try and do my small part in preserving those bad old days!
Which means that I might (might) share some of it here. We'll see! It'd certainly be interesting to see what my younger self thought they were on about. sweats nervously in blink-182.

:D
do it do it do it do it
(Whether you end up sharing it or not, I'm glad to hear you're planning to preserve your old stuff!)
Bravely Second didn't really click for me either, which is a shame; it's reassuring to hear that Bravely Default II so thoroughly worked for someone who had the same experience!

We are edging ever closer to this darkest timeline. I think it's gotta happen.
And I'm glad to hear I'm not alone with the Bravely Second thing. I remember you mentioning before that reviews for Bravely Default II had made you concerned. I think my advice, based on my own clearly biased experience but also based on what you've said here, is that the new game is definitely worth giving a go. For me, at least, it really honestly recaptures everything I enjoyed so much about the first game. If you're still unsure, try and grab it on a sale or something! I would happily lend you my copy if I could, but that would be impossible even without obvious pandemic restrictions, hahaha. My copy is, alas, digital.
