Nervously, and I'm hoping just in time, I'm posting my contribution to fandom20in20. vangirl has participated a couple of times now, and encouraged me to join in this time. I'm glad I did! I can't really identify myself as skilled when it comes to making graphics, but I definitely enjoy it. Moreso, I was really happy to work with a character and series I enjoy so much! If just one person looks at these icons and even vaguely considers watching Revolutionary Girl Utena then I'll be more than satisfied. :>

So, Nanami in 20! Here's an explanation of the themes to anyone interested. And be prepared for some chatter beneath the cut as well, hahahah. I CAN'T HELP MYSELF.

→ Some of these are quite terrible. I realise and completely accept that, hahaha. I'm genuinely really happy with some of them, though, much happier than I actually expected to be.
→ Text. Just, text. sob. (and effective use of textures. and successfully complimentary colours. a-and okay, I'm pretty sure cropping is the only thing I think I have going for me AND IT'S NOT EXACTLY DIFFICULT TO CROP HAHAHA ♥)
→ Touga is in four icons. Touga >:( And Tsuwabaki isn't in any! I'd wanted to include him, so I'm saddened by that. I did get to include Miki though, which warms my solitary shipper heart. I'll ship whatever I like, shush.
→ Nanami is ridiculous. And hilarious. And really kind of heart-breaking when it comes down to it. I wanted to try and capture those different aspects of her - the comedy and the tragedy and the mean-spiritedness and the naivety - and I hope that comes over some.
→ If it's not obvious enough already, I really recommend this series! :)

I really like the composition of Religious,it's so striking. And Chair and Black are both very atmospheric.

I STILL LOVE STRIPES, it's very energetic and great and I love it so! :D

I really love what you did with the text in Category #1! It is a really neat way to place text. :O Text is really hard to work with, but I think you did really well with it. Category #4 is really good with this too. :>

The AC section is just full of gorgeous icons. #2 and #4 especially. ♥

I also really like Religious, Microphone and Tour. You did a very lovely job with this batch overall. :>

UTENA. I have read it, not watched it but oh, I enjoyed it ♥

Just as I did your icons, oooooh. These are all so pretty, if I had to nail my favorites they would be Category #4 (shivers &hearts) and definitely Stripes, the choice of image and the colors just pop so brightly and shine, mm *_*

I'm glad you liked the icons! :> I was pleased with those two both, so it's great to hear you name them as favourites.

And ahhh, I highly recommend watching! It's such a wonderful show, my icons don't even really begin to do it justice, hahaha. (Though I've never read it, so! We can swap, hahah.)

Ah. I love Utena. ♥ It's one of the series/movies I play constantly for background noise--I practically have the entire movie memorized.

I absolutely love Monroe. The choice of image, the colors, the composition--everything about it feels very fairy tale-esque, which suits the series perfectly. I also love Frame, AC#2, and AC#4.

Overall, great job!

And ahh, thank you so much for your words! I was really happy to be able to use Monroe just because it meant I was able to get a bunch of roses in the set, hahaha. What sort of Utena batch would lack some roses!

This are great! I especially like Category #4, Category #5, Monroe, and Breakfast Club, not to mention the incredible interpretation of Religious.

And am I to understand that you ship Miki/Nanami? And here I thought that I was the only one!

I've seen some bad icons in my day and none of these are "terrible." I like Religious and Stripes the best!
